Recently I spent some time in(near) Prague due to working responsibilities to the Collective. We were filming commercial for one big factory in Mlada Boleslav( one hour drive from Prague). The other day I spent wandering around the City of Prague with my friend, Denis. He is living there for about five months as a student now.
We met up at Staroměstské námestí right in front of sculpture in the middle of it. We spent some time contemplating about the author's intention and the expressions of the figures forming the overall result. Then we moved on.
We got morning coffe in nearby hipster coffeteria which name I cannot recall right now because I hadn 't checked in on foursquare(do you feel the irony there? If not, just for the record, it is there). We talked the politics (we touched it just slight enough not to make our day a bad day) and other stuff only good old friends would understand. The coffe and the croissants were great. (If I find out the name of the place I would include it just here)
The next place we visited was the National Gallery in Prague. We really enjoyed the Gerhard Richter 's exhibition. Both of us were really impressed by the author 's virtuosity. I admire the Richter 's versatility and the ability of creating the emotion. I totally love the colors of his photorealism work and can 't totally understand his abstract work(but some others apparently can as it is the abstract painting that was sold for the most($44.52 million). I may even say that he is my favorite painter for now.
We had lunch at bistro where Denis is habitue and talked human relations and other philosophy stuff. You can say now we both are intelectuals.
Then we crossed river Vltava in order to get into apartment Denis lives in. It is the student shared one, really nice looking with a great location(second street from the bank of Vltava)
I met up with Janka later on.
Then I got back to the Denis apartment and we had beer on the big old window sill while sun was disappearing completely. It was 9p.m.
My bus was leaving at 11p.m.
